Hey friends, stay tuned for some exciting changes here at ShockBoxTV! We’re adding more content, completely new and different stuff, taking cues from what our fans say they want to see. Details will be announced after 2013 gets rolling. One new feature is a regular band review that captures the best and brightest of bands playing in Los Angeles. If you would like ShockBoxTV to come to your performance, email us at ShockBoxTV@gmail.com!
Last night we saw a coupla great bands at the El Cid in Hollywood, just the coolest
place around with a beautiful outside patio, plus a fantastic stage and sound system. We saw the Woolly Bandits, fronted by Christa Collins, who’s got an iron-clad set of pipes nicely packaged in a winning smile and a skin-tight vinyl catsuit. Meow. She and the band put on a great show, but it’s mostly about Christa slinking, slithering, prowling and dancing across the stage with her sexy-throaty vocals. We drank a chewy locally-brewed brown ale called “Get Up Offa That Brown” (from Golden Road Brewing here in L.A.) and had a great time cheering the Woolly’s on. We also put together a little gallery here but honestly, it doesn’t do The Woolly Bandits justice so def check out their biopage and FB page!
